Ed Galante        Ed Galante - Teaching Professional

Ed Galante, also known as "Omar" to his peers and students, has taught at The Original Golf School since 1985.  Omar has mentored thousands of students over the years with great success.  Omar was also one of the pioneer American golf instructors to start the first golf school in Switzerland.  During his three years with the Original Golf School in Switzerland, Omar helped and inspired many new Swiss golfers to learn and enjoy the game.

Omar is a very patient and affable teacher.  He has a certain calmness that his students find relaxing and helps them feel at ease in a learning environment.  Omar possesses a vast knowledge of the game of golf and he has the rare ability to know what to say and when to say it so that his students can improve without being overwhelmed with information.  He is a "no pressure" golf pro that helps students learn at their own pace.  Omar loves playing the game of golf, but his true passion is teaching the game of golf to his students.

Richard brings a unique combination of skills and experience to The Original Golf School.  His academic training and research in sports psychology, kinesiology, coaching education, and sports management enhance his ability to help students find their personal path to golfing success - especially for those persons with physical limitations.

Richard's experiences with the PGA tour as an official starter and first tee announcer at events such as the US Open, US Senior Open, the British Open IFQ, The Kemper, Booze Allen, and FBR, provide him with a unique perspective resulting from up close interaction with many of the games great players of the last 20 years.

Richard's appreciation for the value of mental and physical fitness to enhance sports performance has not been limited to golf.  As a collegiate golfer and as a Class A member of the Professional Golf Teachers Association of America, Richard was also a Class I Olympic weightlifter, coach, and adminstrator of national and international competitions with the AAU and the United States Olympic Weightlifing Federation.
